Local artist paints her own Lib Dem poster

Posters for Chris Bowers and the Liberal Democrats are all over Wealden, but there's a special one in Wadhurst High Street.  It's an original painting by local artist Val Brinton, who wanted to show her support for Chris's campaign with a more original poster.

Chris was campaigning in Wadhurst this week, meeting commuters off the train, chatting to traders in the High Street and taking part in a 'Question Time' debate with the other four candidates at Uplands College.  While there, he took time to meet Val Brinton and be photographed with her outside her house.

"I think it's great that an artist is willing to do her own poster," says Chris, "and I feel both honoured and complimented that she has taken the time and trouble to put up this most original support for Wealden's quest to have a Liberal Democrat MP."
